MIPCOM Shines a Spotlight on Global Sales, Co-Productions, and FAST Channels' Surge

Lucy Smith reported figures on the third day which marked the market’s third consecutive year of growth, with an increase in the overall attendance in comparison with last year’s 10,800. Over 3,500 buyers were present in 2023, signifying a 10% increase, with the majority hailing from the US, the UK, France, Germany, and Spain.
More than 320 companies were hosted at MIPCOM, including 31 national pavilions, while 50 companies made their debut with their own stands. Looking ahead to the 40th edition, the organizers announced that the event is scheduled for October 20-24, 2024, with Miptv set for April 8-10 next year, coinciding with the Cannes International Festival series.
When discussing the rise in international sales, it's noteworthy to highlight the impact of the presentations of Turkish content that have continued throughout the entire week, culminating at the end of this third day.
The third day concluded with an exclusive celebration hosted by Global Agency in the luxurious setting of Monaco, marking the company's ongoing festivities during this latest MIPCOM edition.
