Gear up for an immersive experience through the barren and expansive realm of Sand Land as the highly anticipated Japanese series, Sand Land: The Series is slated to hit Disney+ in spring 2024.
The series unfolds the story of a world in dire shortage of water which is stringently controlled by the rapacious king. Faced with the tyranny of the monarch, Sheriff Rao decides to take on the challenge, while seeking aid from Sand Land’s enigmatic demons. The newly assembled crew embarks on a journey to uncover the “Legendary Spring”.
Sand Land: The Series is built upon the foundation of the movie, Sand Land, introduced in 2023. The new series is set to tell new tales of the beloved characters such as Fiend Prince Beelzebub, Sheriff Rao and the crafty Thief.
Based on the popular short story by Akira Toriyama, the creator of DRAGON BALL and Dr. Slump, Sand Land: The Series is a collaboration between Sunrise, the anime studio behind Mobile Suit Gundam and Love Live! Series; anime studio Kamikaze Douga, which has gained attention for POPTEPIC and for creating the title sequence for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure; and ANIMA, which specializes in high quality 3DCG animation.
