Baeksang Arts Announces 60th Awards

South Korea - The 60th Baeksang Arts Awards will be held on May 7 from 5pm KST at Hall D of the COEX Convention & Exhibition Centre in Seoul, with the ceremony also airing live on JTBC, JTBC2 and JTBC4.

The show celebrates the accomplishments of those in the fields of domestic broadcast, cable and streaming TV, as well as local films and theatrical productions, with productions released between April 1 2023 and March 31 2024 being eligible for nominations.

Though this year’s nominees have not been announced, some celebrities who have attended the event in 2023 include singer-songwriter, composer and actress Lee Ji-eun, better known by her stage name IU, as well as Train to Busan (2016) and Eternals (2021) star Ma Dong-seok.

Nominees for the awards are determined by surveying 60 industry experts. Introduced in 1965, the Baeksang Arts Awards are regarded as a highly prestigious entertainment awards show in South Korea.

Nominees for the 60th Baeksang Arts Awards will be announced on April 8.
