Netflix's DP star, Jung Hae In to meet fans in Asia

Jung Hae In will hold a fan meeting around Asia, titled 'The 10th Season'. D.P. centres on Deserter Pursuit Unit members An Joon-ho (Jung Hae-in) as he come across different stories while tracking down fellow soldiers who have deserted their posts.

In celebration of his 10th anniversary, Jung Hae In will hold a fan meet-and-greet by travelling around Asia, including Seoul, Hong Kong, Bangkok, Manila, Jakarta and Singapore from August to October this year. He is actively communicating with his fans through his content and will provide fans with activities during the fan meet.

Jung debuted as an actor in 2014 through the drama, Bride of the Century. However, it was in 2017 when he hit superstardom with his appearance in While You Were Sleeping. His role as a calm and collected policeman captured the hearts of viewers which eventually enabled him to top bill huge dramas like Netflix's D.P. and JTBC's Snowdrop. He is also a prominent movie star and has starred in a couple of award-winning films like Tune in For Love and Start-Up, the former earning him a Best New Actor award at the 56th Grand Bell Awards.

Jung will be starring in season 2 of Netflix series 'D.P.', premiering on 28 July KST on the streaming platform. Jung, who plays Ahn Junho commented, “It is a work that continues from Season 1. There are still stories remaining, and there are parts that need resolution. Therefore, viewers can expect a more intricate and compelling narrative.” The series has won Best Picture in the TV category at the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards and the Best Picture Award at the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards. Additionally, season 1 of 'D.P.' takes a spot on the New York Times' top 10 best international TV shows of 2021.

D.P. captivated viewers and critics alike with mesmerising characters placed in the novel premise of soldiers hunting down AWOL soldiers. With electrifying chemistry between Jung Hae-in and Koo Kyo-hwan and sublime performances from Kim Sung-kyun, Son Suk-ku and the other actors, the characters resonate with viewers across the board regardless of generation and gender. The series is not shy about delivering an incisive social message about absurdities of life and unjust realities that are relevant not only in Korean society but in international contexts.
