With trademarks to Disney’s iconic characters, Elf Labs hopes to use high-end and immersive technologies to reimagine classic tales. By Ching Wai.
US - American entertainment studio Elf Labs has launched with trademarks for Disney princesses Cinderella, Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, among a variety of other iconic fairytale characters. With the legal alternative to Disney, Elf Labs aims to reimagine classic characters with the use of next-generation rendering, AI-powered worlds and modern storylines.
The project involves notable figures like DreamWorks alum Mike de Seve, who will head up animation, Blue Collar Productions’ Mark Rowen, executive television producer Alyse Rosenberg, Bernt Ullmann and technology company Cosmic Wire.
David Phillips, CEO of Elf Labs, said, “Elf Labs’ platform is a multi-patented system designed to incubate, develop and launch mega IP franchises. Combining the world’s most iconic IP with captivating creative and revolutionary technology will allow Elf Labs to truly reimagine entertainment.”
