Description

Set in 1978, The Tank tells the story of Ben Adams (Matt Whelan), his wife Jules (Luciane Buchanan) and their young daughter Reia (Zara Nausbaum). Both Ben and Jules manage a pet shop named “Raining Cats and Dogs” while they pursue their studies in veterinary medicine. Little did they know, their lives were about to change forever when an attorney walked through their door to share the news of the inheritance of a coastal property in Oregon that was left behind by his mother.

A chain of secrets is unraveled when Ben and his family go to Hobbit’s Bay to satisfy their curiosity. Though the exterior of the cottage looks run down, the gorgeous view compensated for it. The family uncovers a series of old photos and newspaper clippings insinuating the troubled family history of their ancestors. Terrifying events soon follow as they go to uncover the ominous water tank hidden beneath the unassuming concrete slab.

Ben unintentionally awakens the malevolent force from its dormant state while repairing the buried water tank. When the creature seizes their daughter, the couple must summon all their courage to venture into the creature’s territory to save their precious daughter.

An outstanding cinematography woven with a well structured story paired with remarkable practical effects is the equation to deliver an enthralling and thrilling experience. The final act of The Tank wows the audience with their impeccable creature design and underwater effects in a subterranean setting. Paired with their exemplary camerawork, the film is sure to leave an impeccable experience for the viewers, leaving them on the edge of their seats.
