John Wagner Appointed CFO of Brightcove’s Global Financial Businesses

Streaming tech solutions provider Brightcove has appointed John Wagner to be the CFO in charge of its global financial organisation. By Ching Wai.

US - John Wagner has been named Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Brightcove on 10 April. Wagner will be in charge of Brightcove’s global financial organisation, including financial operations, planning, accounting, and investor relations. The new position is effective immediately.


The new Brightcove CFO has had more than twenty years of strategic and operational financial leadership experience in the tech industry. Before joining Brightcove, Wagner had been the CFO at the online insurance marketplace EverQuote for nine years, where he was responsible for the initial public offering (IPO) and led the finance organisation. Wagner was also in senior executive financial roles at software companies like Carbonite, Constant Contact, NuoDB and Salesnet.


Wagner said, “Brightcove has built a legacy of quality and innovation in streaming technology, powering some of the most notable media and enterprise companies. The team’s commitment to innovation and passion for their customers positions Brightcove for a strong future.
