ORF-Enterprise successfully closed numerous deals for its originals, including nature films, history documentaries, and a new wildlife comedy series. By Ching Wai.
Europe - The Content Sales International team of ORF-Enterprise had a successful run at the final edition of MIPTV at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. Recent programme highlights included ORF documentaries and series highlight Kafka, which recently aired on ARD and ORF. The co-production by ORF, ARD and Superfilm was licensed to international broadcasters after its premiere.
Sales of other ORF originals were secured as well. Four seasons of Suburbia - Women on the Edge were sold to ARD One, and three seasons of Walking on the Sunshine and Soko Kitzbuehel each were bought by RTL Hungary. Sweden’s SVT and Canada’s Knowledge Networks have also picked up the concert recording Christmas in Vienna 2023.
A number of ORF UNIVERSUM Nature films and history documentaries were also added to international broadcasters’ offerings.
Additionally, ORF-Enterprise secured the new wildlife comedy City Beasts, an entertaining and edifying series that it supported and co-developed, for its MIPTV lineup.
