Rewind Networks expands to Philippines, Maldives and Papua New Guinea

Rewind Networks has begun its channel expansions into the Philippines, the Maldives and Papua New Guinea, with its affiliates offering its channels HITS, HITS MOVIES and HITS NOW by 1 May 2024. By Ching Wai.

Singapore - Rewind Networks, a Singapore-based multimedia entertainment company, is expanding into the Philippines, the Maldives and Papua New Guinea through partnerships with affiliates Accion, MediaNet and Digicel. HITS, HITS MOVIES and HITS NOW, Rewind Networks’s channels, deliver content to more than 24 million households across 13 Asian countries.


Accion has an extensive distribution network of local cable operators across the Philippines. The longstanding affiliate of Rewind Networks will include HITS NOW to its channel line-up from 1 May this year. MediaNet, the largest pay TV and cable TV operator in the Maldives, has been offering HITS NOW since 1 April 2024. The two affiliates offer HITS NOW alongside Rewind Network’s two other channels, HITS and HITS MOVIES. New affiliate Digicel PNG provides TV satellite services to Papua New Guinea, and has offered HITS MOVIES since 1 April as well.


The three channels offer curated content, including popular titles from Sony Pictures, Paramount, NBCUniversal, Fremantle, Lionsgate, BBC Studios, Amazon MGM Studios, Warner Bros. Discovery, All3Media, Banijay and ITV Studios. Rewind Networks has plans to continue expanding its content repertoire.

HITS NOW offers current programmes like branded reality and talent shows, as well as drama series, games shows, comedies, and crime shows. Popular titles like Britain’s Got Talent and Hell’s Kitchen are released within 36 hours of their U.S. telecast. HITS MOVIES delivers blockbusters from the 1960s to the late 2000s, including Alvin and the Chipmunks, Little Women (1994), Jurassic Park, and Saving Private Ryan.
