Timeless Love Wins Gold at World Media Festivals

Portuguese series Timeless Love clinches gold for the Television & Corporate Media Awards in Entertainment at the World Media Festival, the awards ceremony of which will happen on 29 May 2024. By Ching Wai.

Portugal - The Portuguese television drama series Timeless Love has won the gold award under the Television & Corporate Media Awards in Entertainment, Telenovelas category at the 25th edition of the World Media Festival. This recognition of the 2023 series highlights the quality of production that SP Televisão promises to viewers. The awards ceremony will be held on 29 May 2024 in Hamburg, Germany.

Timeless Love follows the story of forbidden love of a strong female character, Catarina, who will have to choose between her mother, Leonor, who went missing during Catarina’s time in jail, or the man she has fallen in love with, Vasco, who is part of the family behind her mother’s disappearance.

Produced by SP Televisão, Timeless Love has been distributed by SIC International Distribution both locally and internationally. The series was directed by Jorge Queiroga, with a screenplay by Cândida Ribeiro, Rita Roberto, Ana Casaca, Ana Vasques, José Pinto Carneiro and Manuel Carneiro. The cast includes Bárbara Branco, Francisco Froes, Maria João Bastos, and Albano Jerónimo.

This marks the eighth consecutive year that Portuguese works, broadcast by SIC International and produced by SP Televisão, have been awarded at Germany’s World Media Festival, which sees a significant attendance of international entries annually. The prestigious festival recognises excellent works of television, corporate films, and online productions around the world.
