US - Rob Marciano, the ABC News
Senior Meteorologist, has recently exited the network after 10 years. His
departure comes in the wake of a 2023 report claiming that he was “banned” from
Good Morning America tapings due to allegedly making a colleague
uncomfortable. Although the exact details surrounding his ousting remain
unclear, it appears that issues related to “anger-management” problems and
“improper” conduct led to his departure.
Marciano had been with ABC News since 2014,
contributing his weather insights to shows like ABC World News Tonight with
David Muir, Good Morning America, and “Good Morning America:
Weekend Edition.” Before joining ABC, he co-hosted “Entertainment Tonight” for
nearly two years. His most recent reporting focused on Shreveport, Louisiana’s
recovery from a storm that tore through the city in June 2023.
In September, Marciano shared on Instagram that he
would be “contributing across all ABC shows and platforms Mon-Fri, while
getting more quality time with my kiddos on the weekends.” He also hinted at
“an exciting new project with NatGeo” that had him exploring some intriguing
subjects.
