US - We are truly saddened to hear about the tragic
incident involving Johnny Wactor, the talented actor known for his role as
Brando Corbin on General Hospital. On May 25, 2024, in Los Angeles,
Johnny Wactor was shot and killed during an attempted car robbery.
Johnny Wactor was
returning to his car after work when he discovered a man tampering with it.
Believing it was being towed and not suspecting danger, he approached the man
to ask what was happening. Unfortunately, he was immediately shot by the
suspect.
The thieves were
attempting to steal the catalytic converter from his parked vehicle. These
converters contain precious metals and are valuable targets for thieves. Despite
efforts to save him, Johnny Wactor suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced
dead early that Saturday.
Paramedics reportedly
arrived at the scene shortly after the incident and rushed Wactor to hospital. However,
he was later pronounced dead.
Johnny Wactor was
described as an “outstanding human being” by his agent. His charismatic
presence and genuine nature left a lasting impact on those who knew him. In
addition to his role on General Hospital, Wactor starred in the 2013 NBC
series Siberia and appeared in two episodes of HBO’s Westworld.
