The new campaign will see Spain’s top league continue to be broadcast exclusively on beIN SPORTS for 25 consecutive seasons across 23 MENA markets.
US - beIN Media Group has secured an extension
of its exclusive broadcast rights for LaLiga across 34 markets in the Middle
East and North Africa (MENA) and Asia-Pacific (APAC) regions. This agreement
ensures that beIN Sports will continue to be the home of Spanish football in
these regions until the end of the 2027-28 season in MENA and the 2026-27
season in APAC.
Having held the LaLiga rights since 2003 in MENA and
2015 in APAC, beIN’s renewed deal marks a significant milestone, extending
their partnership with LaLiga for 25 consecutive seasons in 23 MENA countries1.
The expanded agreement also brings LaLiga back to beIN in Australia and New
Zealand, offering comprehensive coverage of all 380 league matches.
Yousef Al-Obaidly, Group CEO of beIN Media Group,
expressed his enthusiasm about the extended partnership, highlighting beIN’s
commitment to delivering world-class broadcasting and supporting the growth of
Spanish football globally. Javier Tebas, President of LaLiga, echoed these
sentiments, emphasizing the importance of their relationship with beIN in
ensuring fans in MENA and APAC can enjoy LaLiga to the fullest.
The new season, starting on August 15, promises
exciting storylines, including Real Madrid’s new signing Kylian Mbappé, FC
Barcelona’s new coach Hansi Flick, and Girona’s debut in the UEFA Champions
League2. Fans can look forward to two El Clásico matches, where Real Madrid
will face off against their arch-rivals, FC Barcelona.
The exclusive deal covers a wide range of countries,
including Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iran, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Morocco,
Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia,
and New Zealand2. Additionally, beIN will co-share LaLiga broadcast rights in
Iraq with the regional platform 100.
