All3Media International Onboards New VP Sales

Former Senior Producer at BBC Studios Tony Ziran Tang joins All3Media Asia-Pacific as VP Sales. By: Theng Min Yee

In line with All3Media International’s recent expansion of its Asia-Pacific team, former BBC senior commercial manager/senior producer Tony Ziran Tang has been appointed as VP Sales. He is tasked to manage sales and co-productions of the company’s multi-genre programming and formats portfolio in China, Korea and Japan.

Tony’s responsibilities encompass overlooking finished programmes, format sales in his territories, working across TVs, local digital platforms and home entertainment.

Tony started his career in BBC as format sales executive, advancing into the position of Senior Commercial Manager at BBC Studios in China where he managed originals, co-productions and distributions. Notably, he brokered the first China original One Cup a Thousand Stories, the first science original Rendezvous with the Future and several international co-productions including The Green Planet.

Tony has also worked at a non-scripted production company, Sparkling Media in China before the BBC. Having graduated with a Master’s Degree from the Community University of China’s Television School, he is fluent in both English and Mandarin.

He now reports to Sabrina Duguet, EVP Asia-Pacific. Duguet expressed her delight with Tony’s addition to the Asia-Pacific team. She said: “Tony’s comprehensive experience in digital and linear distribution, format development, and co-production, alongside his established relationships with clients across Asia and globally, will ensure All3Media can continue to optimise opportunities within the current client network as well as secure and grow new business.”

Pertaining to his onboarding, Tony commented, “Few positions give opportunity to manage rights to such a varied line-up of high-quality scripted and non-scripted titles from a host of the world’s most acclaimed producers.”

He added: “The Asia-Pacific region offers myriad destinations for premium finished content on TV, digital and home entertainment platforms as well as strong potential for strategic collaborations on both international and local productions. I’m looking forward to building on All3Media International’s fantastic reputation in Asia and bringing more of the company’s innovative shows and formats to screens across the region.”
