Marvel's Loki Season 2 Trailer Sparks Controversy

The controversy surrounding Majors began earlier this year when he was arrested in Manhattan and charged with assault and harassment in connection with a domestic dispute. Despite the victim later recanting their statement, several other women have since come forward with additional allegations of abuse, leading to Majors being dropped by his talent agency and losing roles in film projects.
Yet, despite these serious allegations and the potential PR troubles, Marvel Studios appears to be standing firm on retaining Majors in his role as Kang in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). The actor was last seen in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which was released a month before the allegations surfaced. His appearance in the Loki season 2 trailer marks his return to the MCU.
Fans have taken to social media to express their discontent, with some urging Marvel to recast Kang, suggesting actors like John Boyega as a potential replacement. However, it seems that Marvel has no immediate plans to recast the role, and Majors is still set to play a crucial part as the big bad in the upcoming 'Multiverse Saga.'
It is worth noting that the episodes featuring Majors were filmed before the allegations emerged, and there is an ongoing actors' strike to consider. Marvel may be waiting to assess the situation fully or the outcome of the allegations before making any decisions. Regardless, the situation remains sensitive, and Marvel's response is under intense scrutiny.
Majors' legal team maintains his innocence, stating they have provided evidence supporting his case. Nevertheless, the situation poses challenges for both Marvel Studios and Disney, as they navigate how to handle the allegations while also ensuring the integrity of their content.
