Studio 100 Media’s FriendZSpace Clinches Partnerships in US and UK

Studio 100 Media, one of the leading independent studios for children and family entertainment, lands deals with streaming platforms in the US and UK. By: Theng Min Yee

The Munich-based studio specialising in children and family entertainment has secured deals with streaming platforms Peacock (USA), Kabillion (USA), and ITVX (UK) for the CGI series FriendZSpace. Launching in August 2023 on Peacock, Kabillion and ITVX, the series is co-produced by Flying Bark Productions and T&B Media Global.

The series is created by Dan Clark and Oscar Covar, who produced the shows Team Smithereen, Yo Gabba Gabba and Tasty Tales of The Food Truckers.

FriendZSpace is a fast-tracked, action-packed, and character-driven animated comedy series that centres around three best friends, Alice, Leo, and Kim. The trio appear to be regular human children, but behind their façade, they are characterized as risk-taking deep-space explorers who are inclined to making friends.

Each episode depicts the trio jetting into space in their unpredictable star cruiser, The Dart. Accompanied by BotDog (half puppy and half high-tech Swiss army knife), their mission is simple and wonderfully weird: locate planets, find aliens kids, introduce themselves, and make friends. However, making friends with alien kids might be tricky. The series chronicle different customs, funny alien biological quirks and pressing narrative events, which all come together to create comic complications that the characters must overcome.

FriendZSpace is a series centred on kids culture, carrying the message of embracing differences and conquering exciting challenges in the process.
