Seoul’s celebrated broadcaster and actress will present the award ceremony, viewed live across the world on 21st September. By: Theng Min Yee
Seoul, Korea - The 18th edition of the Seoul International Drama Awards this year will be hosted by beloved broadcasters Hyun Moo Jeon and actress Se Young Lee, who will address distinguished guests from the entertainment industry. Held live on KBS 2TV at KBS Hall from 6pm on 21st (Thursday) September, the awards will be attended by winners and many celebrities nominated from 344 entries across 44 countries and regions. This year brings in the highest record of participants in the history of the awards.
Viewers will be able to catch the celebrities walking down the red carpet, held at KBS Square from 4.30pm the same day. The red carpet walk includes actor Sung Min Lee, Sang Yeob Lee, singer Ho Joong Kim, actress Nina Ellen Ødegård, winner of the 2017 Hedda Award for Best Actress, actress Kathryn Bernardo who was selected as ‘Asia-Pacific’s Most Influential Celebrities on Social Media’ by Forbes Asia, actor Gun Atthaphan Phunsawat from Thailand who also has a large fandom in Korea, the authorities from drama The Glory, Reborn Rich, Extraordinary Attorney Woo, and singer Sandara Park from 2NE1 who recently made a comeback with her first solo single FESTIVAL.
Presenter Hyun Moo Jeon brings years of hosting experience, having anchored several programmes with a great sense of humor. His co-host actress Se Young Lee is known for her splendid performance in The Red Sleeve and The Law Café. She was also the winner of the 50th Korea Broadcasting Prizes.
Sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the 19th Seoul International Drama Awards will be broadcast cast on KBS 2TV and the official channel of SDA.
