Actress Suzanne Somers' Cause of Death Unveiled

After almost two weeks of her passing at 76, her cause of death was finally revealed. By: Wee Yan Ling

Somers passed away on Sunday, October 15 at 5:30 am. Her death certificate stated that her breast cancer has metastasised throughout her entire body. The document stated "breast cancer with metastasis to the brain", causing the immediate cause of death.

Initially it was stated in the certificate as hypertension with hydrocephalus contributing to her death. Hydrocephalus occurs when there is an excess of cerebrospinal fluid present in the brain ventricles. This in turn causes detrimental pressure to the brain tissues. Somers has been battling against it for more than a year.

Somers was laid to rest at Desert Memorial Park in Cathedral City three days later.
