Lucasfilm's Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, their final franchise film, is set to stream December 1, 2023, exclusively on Disney+. A documentary titled Timeless Heroes, will showcase the origins of Indiana Jones, to debut concurrently on Disney+. By: Dylan Low
Timeless Heroes is directed by recognised documentary filmmaker Laurent Bouzereau, which delves into Harrison Ford's enduring appeal and his upbringing, including his foray into the entertainment business, his role in the iconic Indiana Jones franchise, alongside the impact and inspiration created by the films.
It is an insightful look at an iconic moment in film history as Steven Spielberg and George Lucas start an amazing creative team to work on the cinematic film, showcasing unseen footage and interviews with Ford, Spielberg, Lucas, Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall, James Mangold, and others.
Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny has earned over $380 million revenue at the global box office, depicts a climatic adventure starring Harrison Ford, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Antonio Banderas, John Rhys-Davies, Shaunette Renée Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Toby Jones, Boyd Holbrook, Olivier Richters, Ethann Isidore, and Mads Mikkelsen. It is directed by James Mangold, written by Jez Butterworth & John-Henry Butterworth and David Koepp and James Mangold, based on characters innovated by George Lucas and Philip Kaufman.
The film is produced by Kathleen Kennedy, Frank Marshall and Simon Emanuel, with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas working as executive producers. John Williams recurs as the score composer, composing for every Indiana Jones film since the original Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981.
