Nintendo has recently announced a live-action adaptation of the beloved video game series, The Legend of Zelda. Following the announcement, Colson Baker, more widely known as Machine Gun Kelly has proclaimed his fervent wish to star in the film on his social media.

The 33-year-old artist shared a screenshot of an article discussing the movie and declaring "if I don't play Link, we have a problem."

The statement has led dans and industry insiders to speculate about the potential casting for the project. Machine Gun Kelly’s passion with The Legend of Zelda can be seen in his portrayal as the protagonist, Link, last Halloween in Los Angeles.

Gamers worldwide have been loyal to The Legend of Zelda franchise and they have since boasted 19 titles since its inauguration in 1986. The movie adaptation will be helmed by director Wes Ball who is renowned for his work on the Maze Runner trilogy and highly anticipated film, Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes.

The narrative of The Legend of Zelda unfolds around Link, an elf-like warrior with various incarnations who continuously rises to aid Princess Zelda in her quest to rescue the kingdom of Hyrule from the antagonist, Ganon.
