The Ted Series which arrives on Peacock, has stated their premiere date. By: Dylan Low
The series will span up to seven episodes and serve as a prequel to the two Ted films. It is set to make its first appearance on January 11th, as Peacock released their first teaser trailer and first look pictures for the series.
The first episode will be a ‘supersized’ edition, as the remaining six episodes will be around 30-minutes for each. The series is portrayed in 1993, beginning with “Ted the bear’s (Seth MacFarlane) moment of fame has passed,” stated in the official description. “He’s now living back home in Framingham, Massachusetts with his best friend, 16-year-old John Bennett (Max Burkholder), along with John’s parents, Matty and Susan (Scott Grimes and Alanna Ubach) and cousin Blaire (Giorgia Whigham). Ted may be a lousy influence on John, but at the end of the day, he’s a loyal pal who’s always willing to go out on a limb for friendship.”
Macfarlane has taken up the roles of writer, executive producer, co-showrunner, and director coupled with starring in the Ted prequel. Paul Corrigan and Brad Walsh will be the co-showrunners and executive producers. Erica Huggins, Alana Kleiman, Jason Clark, and Aimee Carlson of Fuzzy Door Productions are the executive producers of the series. The series is notably produced by Universal Content Productions (UCP), Fuzzy Door, and Media Rights Capital (MRC).
