The world mourns the death of Dex Carvey, the eldest son of the iconic actor and comedian Dana Carvey, who bid farewell to the world at the age of 32. Dana Carvey and his wife Paula Zwagerman broke the heartbreaking announcement on Instagram by recounting the tragedy.

"Last night we suffered a terrible tragedy," the grieving parents expressed in their Instagram post. The pair shared that their son’s passing is due to an accidental drug overdose and also shed light on the painful circumstance surrounding their son’s demise.

"Dex packed a lot into those 32 years. He was extremely talented at so many things--music, art, filmmaking, comedy--and pursued all of them passionately," the statement continued. "It's not an exaggeration to say that Dex loved life."

Dex Carvey followed his father’s comedic footsteps and made a name for himself in the entertainment world. He was known for having opened for Dana Carbey’s 2016 Netflix special, Straight White Male and was featured in productions such as Joe Dirt 2: Beautiful Loser as well as The Funster which exhibited the comedic talents of both father and son.
