Bob Iger has revealed that the highly adored Frozen franchise is set to expand with not one, but two upcoming films. Frozen 3 is already in the making whereas Iger had teased the possibility of a Frozen 4 when he was on Good Morning America.
Iger had shared during an interview that Frozen 3 is under works and Frozen 4 might be in the making too. Iger had revealed that the director behind the original Frozen and its sequel, is partnering with the Disney animation team to create 2 enthralling stories.
Creative duo Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez will be returning to craft magical tunes for the new instalments.
Iger had made the announcement during the opening ceremony of World of Frozen at the Disney theme park in Hong Kong. The attraction allows visitors to engage with the beloved characters from the movie while they trudge through the mystical streets of Arendelle.
Frozen and Frozen II had clinched unprecedented success for Disney and has emerged as a cultural phenomenon. Its sequel had attained the highest-grossing animated release of all time with an accumulation of $1.45 billion where the original stands at $1.33 billion.
