ABS-CBN and Viu Collaborate for Filipino Adaptation of Hit K-Drama, What's Wrong with Secretary Kim

Viu and ABS-CBN have renewed their partnership for the Philippine adaptation of CJ ENM’s hit romantic-comedy series, What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim. This collaboration is the continuation of their past successful adaptations of The Broken Marriage Vow and Flower of Evil.

The original series is based on a webtoon that managed to dominate the local ratings during 2018 when it premiered and amassed an international following. The Viu Original Adaptation for the Philippine version is set to be produced by the acclaimed Dreamscape Entertainment. This is the commencement of their third partnership between ABS-CBN with Viu.

The local adaptation will star Kapamilya stars Kim Chu as Secretary Kim and Paulo Avelino as Mr. Vice-Chairman. The duo is anticipated to bring to the table a fresh perspective to the beloved series while maintaining the essence of the narrative.

Cory Vidanes, ABS-CBN's COO of broadcast, expressed gratitude to Viu for the continued trust in their partnership, stating, "We are thrilled to bring the Philippine adaptation of a popular K-Drama series to our viewers as we also showcase Filipino talent across the world."
