Marvel Studios has set its sights on a fresh iteration of the script for Avengers: The Kang Dynasty by enlisting Michael Waldron. Waldron is renowned for having created Loki, and writing the script of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. He is now tasked to dictate the narrative of the Kang Dynasty as part of Marvel’s multiverse saga.

Waldron’s association with the Marvel universe was inaugurated with the formation of Loki. His other craft, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness highlights his vital role in crafting the overarching storyline that spans various realities in both film and television. Avengers: Secret Wars, has just received the green light to be released on May 2027, with Kang Dynasty hitting the theatres in May 2026.

Waldron is brought in shortly after the departure of Director Destin Cretton as he continues with his collaboration with Marvel on the TV show Wonder Man and the sequel to Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. Jeff Loveness, writer behind the Kang-centric feature, had previously created a draft for Kang Dynasty.

The actor for Kang, Jonathan Majors is a villain who possesses the power of time travelling.
