DeAPlaneta Entertainment has collaborated with renowned South Korean media company Cocktail Media and have acquired the media, licensing, and distribution rights for Bugsbot Ignition as well as its spin-off Bugsbot G. The series is aimed at kids from 6 to 9 and has impressive ratings in countries including South Korea, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Indonesia which elevates it as a cultural phenomenon in the realm of anime-style shows.

The licensing deal means that DeAPlaneta Entertainment is granted the exclusive rights in Western territories with the series to engage audiences from 2024. Bugsbot Ignition is popular for the unique hybrid format which converges 2D and 3D animation where humans coexisted with insect-shaped robots.

The series has achieved a resounding success as it now possesses 24 different toy lines and has claimed the 2nd spot in the domestic toy sales in South Korea.

Carlos Biern, Director of Distribution and Contents at DeAplaneta Kids & Family, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, "Bugsbot Ignition is exactly the kind of anime-style IP that DeAPlaneta Entertainment is currently betting on for Western territories: a local IP, with success in Asia, that has the potential to become a global brand. The quality and dynamism of its animation, as well as its action-packed duels and adventurous stories address also hot topics such as environmental awareness and human-machine interaction, ideal for engaging new digital audiences. Bugsbot Ignition has also a natural licensing potential thanks to its almost unlimited number of transforming bugs-shaped robots, which have already become hugely successful toys in several countries in Asia."
