Superights Expands Global Reach with Hit Teen Musical Series

November 2023, Paris - Superights has recently announced new broadcasting partners for its coming-of-age live action series Home Sweet Rome! (13x26’). Originally commissioned by Max (USA), Rai (Italy),  Wildbrain (Canada), BBC (UK),  ARD/One Gate Media (Germany) and supported by The Shaw Rocket Fund, the series has recently found new homes throughout the world. In Europe, Superights, distribution entity of Superprod Group, has inked deals with SVT (Sweden), NPO (Netherlands), NRK (Norway), YLE (Finland) and Euskal Telebista (Spain). In Oceania, the series has been picked-up by TVNZ (New Zealand) and ABC (Australia).

In a significant move, Superights, the distribution arm of Superprod Group, has closed deals in Europe with SVT (Sweden), NPO (Netherlands), NRK (Norway), YLE (Finland), and Euskal Telebista (Spain). Meanwhile, in Oceania, the series has found a place with TVNZ (New Zealand) and ABC (Australia).

Nathalie Pinguet, Deputy Managing Director of Superights, expresses enthusiasm, stating, "Home Sweet Rome! is a universally relatable program that perfectly caters to the entertainment, real-life themes, and aspirational character needs of a young teenage audience. With fantastic broadcast partners already on board, the series's conquest is only just beginning."

The series is produced by Red Monk Studio and First Generation Films. The series tells the story of Lucy’s adventures as she settles down in Rome with her father and stepmother, Francesca–an Italian popstar. The series delves into the themes of adolescence, which portrays the struggles that are encountered by the 13 year-old as she navigates in the new environment. 

A second season is in the making and promises more music, deeper friendships and more adventures.
