ChaiFlicks Secures Streaming Rights for Shtisel and Fire Dance

ChaiFlicks have successfully acquired the rights to Yes Studios’ critically acclaimed series. By: Wee Yan Ling

The acquisition aims to bring the beloved narratives to international audiences with the streaming of Shtisel scheduled to commence on 14 December in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Fire Dance will be making its entry into ChaiFlicks in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand and Canada early next year.

Both highly acclaimed series have amassed international acclaim with Shtisel being awarded as the best drama series at the Israeli Academy TV Awards. Neil Friedman and Bill Weiner of ChaiFlicks have displayed their enthusiasm regarding the acquisition as they recognise the impeccable work of Ori Elon, Yehonatan Indursky and the Yes Studios team.

Shtisel tells the complex lives of the Shtisel family and allows the viewers to look into the ultra-Orthodox society in Jerusalem.  The series, created by Ori Elon and Yehonatan Indursky and produced by Abot Hameiri Barkai and yesTV, has become an iconic portrayal of a unique way of life.

Fire Dance from Israeli filmmaker Rama Burshtein-Shai helps to add another layer to ChaiFlicks’ diverse content portfolio. The coming-of-age story within an ultra-orthodox religious sect features Yehuda Levy, the Best Actor at the 2022 Series Mania Festival where the show premiered.
