Eccho Rights Secures Global Distribution for Turkish Drama, Kara

Eccho Rights, a prominent international content distributor, has announced its acquisition of the global distribution rights for the much-anticipated Turkish drama, Kara. With an engaging plot and a stellar cast, the series is set to make its debut on Show TV in Turkey on December 21. By: Wee Yan Ling

Kara tells the enthralling story of a young thief, Kara, from the slums of Istanbul as he seeks out for a quest of truth and revenge. He then infiltrates the life of Zeynep, whose family he once robbed which weaves a tumultuous journey where love and vengeance collide. 

Kara features İlker Kaleli, renowned for his roles in The End, Lost City, and Secrets, and his award-winning performance in For My Son. He stars alongside the talented Öykü Karayel, famous for her roles in Kuzey Güney, Black Money Love, Magnificent Century Kösem and Ethos.

Handan Özkubat, Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, expressed delight in presenting Kara to a global audience, praising its rich storytelling, direction, and cast. She anticipates the series becoming an international hit, embodying the essence of Turkish storytelling at its finest.

Murat Can Oğuz, co-owner of Most Production and the producer of Kara, shared his enthusiasm about continuing the partnership with Eccho Rights. He described "Kara" as a narrative about two individuals from vastly different worlds connected by a transformative night, emphasising the team's dedication to creating an enthralling and resonant story.
