20th Century Studios' epic sci-fi action thriller, The Creator, is making its grand entrance onto the Disney+ streaming platform on December 20. Directed by the visionary Gareth Edwards, the film is poised to deliver an immersive experience to audiences in the digital realm.
John David Washington, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Sturgill Simpson, newcomer Madeleine Yuna Voyles, and Allison Janney, is set amidst a future war between the human race and the forces of artificial intelligence.
The narrative unfolds around Joshua (John David Washington), a battle-hardened ex-special forces agent, haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his wife, played by Gemma Chan. He then finds himself thrusted into a high-stakes mission to track down and eliminate the Creator, the mastermind behind the advanced AI technology. The unseen architect has curated a deadly weapon that is capable of ending the ongoing war and also humanity itself.
Joshua and his team of elite operatives’ journey across enemy lines, into the dark heart of AI-occupied territory, only to discover the world-ending weapon he's been instructed to destroy is an AI in the form of a young child (Voyles).
