Talpa Studios’ The Floor enters 10 markets in its first year

Talpa Studios has unveiled the ninth and tenth international sales of its popular quiz show The Floor, to Argentina and Hungary. By: Dylan Low

This development proved important for Talpa Studios, with the notable format showcased to the Latin American market. With these fast-paced advancements, The Floor has turned into one of the fastest trending formats of 2023. In less than a year since its debut, it has accomplished a significant milestone by integrating into 10 markets, proving its global appeal and meeting industry expectations.

Other than Argentina and Hungary, The Floor was distributed in the Netherlands, which enters its second season, the USA, France, Spain, Germany, Ukraine, Italy, and Romania. Both in The Netherlands and in Spain, the show has achieved exceptional results.

As the series’ ninth market, Argentina is the first Latin American country acquiring The Floor, marking Talpa Studios' first transition into the region. Production by Kuarzo Entertainment Argentina has started, with their screening slated for 2024 on eltrece (Canal13). Pablo Codevilla, Programming Manager of eltrece, claimed, “We are thrilled to welcome The Floor to Argentina through the collaboration with Kuarzo Entertainment. This captivating and challenging gameshow, known for its fast-paced nature and thrilling high-stakes duels, promises an engaging experience for our audience. We look forward to sharing this successful format with our viewers in Argentina.”

With Hungary as the tenth market, the series will be produced by Scripts Production, which aims to broadcast in 2024 on the platform RTL Hungary. Peter Kolosi, Chief Content Officer of RTL Hungary, has announced, “We are delighted to become the 10th to introduce this internationally proven gameshow to our audiences. Embracing innovation and entertainment, we eagerly anticipate bringing a new dimension of excitement to viewers of RTL Hungary.
