Uncle Samsik tells the journey of Kim San, an ambitious idealist determined to propel his country into an era of prosperity. Overwhelmed with the desire to bring an American-level of affluence to the people of Korea, San joins forces with Pak Doochill (Uncle Samsik), a shady fixer who can adapt to any situation and takes whatever steps necessary to attain his boss’s goals. The pair will form an uneasy alliance as they go on a journey to navigate the intricacies of the established system, unified with their common goal of a prosperous future.

Byun Yohan, renowned for his roles in Mr. Sunshine and Six Flying Dragons, plays the role of Kim San as he breathes life into the character that is driven with the transformative agenda for Korea. The series is written and directed by Shin Yeonshick, the creative mind behind Cobweb and Cassiopeia.
