Steven Yuen Not Casted for Marvel’s Thunderbolts

Yuen will not be draping for Marvel’s upcoming antihero-centric project, Thunderbolts, corroborated by The Hollywood Reporter. By: Cassia Ling

Rumour of Steven Yuen’s involvement was dated back to February, though the ensemble cast has not been established by Marvel. During the D23 presentation held in September, the comic-film studio unveiled its mainstays including Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Wyatt Russell and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

Due to the concurrent writers’ and actors’ strike predicament in 2023, tentpoles including Thunderbolts was staunched. Many of the films’ lineup was left dishevelled across Hollywood, where Thunderbolts was detained to July 2025 instead of 2024, with productions not embarked.

Jake Schreier will be in helm of the highly anticipated project, which has been circulated of Marvel’s antiheroes to congregate.

During Yuen’s acting trajectory, he was the voice star of Invincible, Amazon’s adaptation of the Robert Kirkman comic and has led as a distinguished comic book asset. He propelled to stardom offshore during his emergence in the award-winning franchise The Walking Dead and is lining up for the seasonal award race of Netflix series Beef. He will be vying for the Golden Globe’s best male actor and Emmy’s award in the span of January. Later in the year, fans can expect Yuen’s presence in Bong Joon Ho’s Mickey 17 and the Sundance feature Love Me, featuring renowned actress Kristen Stewart.
