Suits Universe Expands with NBCUniversal's Pilot Order for Suits L.A.
Spearheaded by Aaron Korsh, the creator of the original legal drama, the show promises a fresh cast and storyline set against the backdrop of Los Angeles. By: Wee Yan Ling
The
storyline of Suits L.A. surrounds Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor
from New York who goes through a transformative journey as he becomes the legal
representative for the most influential clients in Los Angeles. With his firm
teetering on the edge of a crisis, he must embrace a role he once scorn. The
series brings together a compelling ensemble of characters who thread through
the intricacies of personal and professional relationships as they unravel the
events that led Ted to leave everything he held dear.
Under
the lead of Victoria Mahoney, the production will begin in late March with the
backdrop of the picturesque Vancouver, Canada. If the pilot receives green
light for a full series, viewers can anticipate its release in the upcoming
2024-2025 season.
Aaron
Korsh, the creative force behind Suits is serving two roles, as the writer and
the executive producer alongside Suits EPs David Bartis, Doug Liman, and Gene
Klein. As for the cast, novel faces will be featured and it is still not
confirmed if actors from the original 2011 series will be making cameo
appearances.
The
recent procurement of the series by Netflix has only augmented the show’s
popularity as it had amassed an impeccable 3 billion viewing minutes between
Netflix and Peacock.
