According to report sources, the Saltburn and Euphoria star was at a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs when he was approached by Joshua Fox, a KISS FM producer for The Kyle & Jackie O Show. In a statement by Fox on the show the following Monday morning, he questioned Elordi if he could get some of his bathwater for Jackie O for her birthday, referencing a viral scene in Saltburn. Elordi told Fox to stop filming and delete the recording, resulting in the situation escalating.

“I refuse to because I feel uncomfortable right now and this is the only evidence,” Fox mentioned on The Kyle & Jackie O Show. “And then Jacob kind of just flips and he kind of pushes me against the wall and his hands are on my throat.”

The New South Wales Police have claimed they are investigating the case. “Officers attached to Eastern Beaches Police Area Command are investigating after a man was allegedly assaulted outside a hotel in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs,” a statement from NSW Police mentions. “Police were told about 3:30 p.m. on Saturday 3 February 2024, a 32-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by a 26-year-old man. The man did not sustain any injuries. Inquiries into the incident is continuing.”

Elordi’s representatives did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Elordi is currently trending, having achieved success with his latest performances in Priscilla and Saltburn having critical acclaim. He has been nominated for supporting actor in Saltburn at the BAFTA Film Awards, alongside the Rising Star Award. He has upcoming projects, with Paul Schrader’s Oh, Canada and Guillermo del Toro’s Dr. Frankenstein, who portrays the role of the Frankenstein Monster.
