Ingress
is set for a Los Angeles screening at the Glendale
Laemmle Theatre from February 23rd till 29th with the attendance of the
director, cast and crew.
The
film has generated widespread acclaim in the festive circuit; it secured the
top honours at the Climax Festival International de Cinéma Indépendent which
included Best Feature, Best Directorial Debut and Best Lead Actress for Rachel
Noll James.
Rachel
Noll James, reflecting on her creation, shared, “Ingress is a story
seeded from experiences in my own life, and expanded to the farthest reaches of
my imagination. What I love most about talking to people after they see this
film is that no two people take away the same message. But, the message each
person takes is deeply personal to them.” She emphasised the film's role as a
doorway for those interested in exploring new perspectives on the world and
their place in it.
“As
a filmmaker, I have found myself continually drawn to the complexities of human
relationships. Ingress is a story seeded from experiences in my own
life, and expanded to the farthest reaches of my imagination. What I love most
about talking to people after they see this film is that no two people take
away the same message. But, the message each person takes is deeply personal to
them,” says director-writer Rachel Noll James. “I like to think of this film,
as Lucas says in one of the key scenes, as a doorway for people interested in
exploring new ways of viewing the world and their place in it,” she adds.
Ingress stands as the inaugural
narrative feature from Emergence Films, the US and UK-based production company
co-founded by Rachel Noll James and Sienna Beckman.
