A
crewmember, identified as a rigger, lost his life in an accident on Tuesday.
Despite the show not being on production that day, the crew was engaged in
their duties.

Abdul-Mateen II, is playing the role of Simon Williams, a
stuntman-turned-superhero as the lead role. Marvel Studios released a statement
expressing their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased crew
member. The studio will fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation led by
the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
The
International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), the union
representing behind-the-scenes workers, has issued a statement as well. The
president expressed shock and deep sorrow and assured support for the member’s
family and colleagues.
Wonder Man completed some filming before the SAG-AFTRA strike which stopped production in July. The progress of the remaining work remains unclear with sources suggesting that the majority of shooting has come to an end and only a few pick-ups left in the coming days or weeks.
Noteworthy
talents include Destin Daniel Creton from Shang-Chi and the Legend of the
Ten Rings and Andrew Guest from Brooklyn Nine-Nine as they form the
behind-the-scenes team of Wonder Man. Ben Kingsley is going to reprise
his role as Trevor Slattery in the Marvel production.
