Film Financing in HK
The Hong Kong - Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF) is a significant event in the film industry. It takes place every March in conjunction with the Hong Kong FILMART.
Hong Kong - The HAF serves as a platform for
filmmakers, financiers, investors, and production companies. It focuses on both
in-development (IDP) and work-in-progress (WIP) fictional feature projects.
IDP
(In-Development Projects): These are projects in development stage. Filmmakers
connect with financiers and investors to facilitate collaboration.
WIP
(Work-in-Progress Projects): These are projects in the later stages of
production. Producers and directors connect with post-production funds, sales
agents, and film festival programmers.
HAF is a
vital hub for fostering creativity, collaboration, and investment in the Asian
film industry. It’s supported by Create Hong Kong and the Film Development
Fund.
