Poland - French pay TV company Canal+ has announced that they have acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the iconic European football competition, the UEFA Champions League, in Poland.
The deal, which also includes coverage of the UEFA Youth League and UEFA Super Cup matches in Poland, will last from the beginning of the 2024/25 season to the end of the 2026/27 season. Canal+ Poland’s coverage will include 204 matches of 36 participating teams. Previously, the Champions League format consisted of 138 matches and 32 teams.
The first event to be broadcast by Canal+ in Poland will be the UEFA Super Cup, held at the National Stadium in Warsaw in August, followed by the first phase of the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Youth League.

In addition to Poland, the company currently has rights to UEFA club competitions in over 50 countries, including France, Switzerland and Austria. Canal+ currently operates in Poland with 3 million subscribers.
The games will be broadcast to Canal’s subscribers, on linear TV via Canal+ and its in-house over-the-top streaming service in Poland.
