US - Trailers for the upcoming Alien: Romulus, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and The Penguin have recently been released, sparking tons of online discussions for these highly-anticipated 2024 projects.

The trailer for Alien: Romulus does not feature much action, but manages to build up a lot of tension in a short amount of time, with plenty of screaming, running and blood present in the 63-second teaser for the science fiction horror film set between Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986). The film stars Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn and Aileen Wu.

Meanwhile, the new trailer for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is much more action-packed, showcasing Furiosa, played by Anya Taylor-Joy, firing weapons, getting involved in fights, and causing mayhem in absurd vehicles. The film also features Chris Hemsworth, Tom Burke, Lachi Hulme, Nathan Jones, John Howard, Angus Sampson, Charlee Fraser, Quaden Bayles and Daniel Webber.

Finally, the trailer for The Penguin spin-off sees Colin Farrell reprise his role from The Batman (2022). In the trailer, the villain laments how his neighbourhood throws a parade for a gangster named Rex Calabrese. Cryptic shots and sequences are spliced in between during this monologue, inviting viewers to wonder what happens in the series, which is set one week after the events of The Batman. Cristin Milioti will also star in the series as a character named Sofia Falcone.

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga crashes into theatres in the US on May 24. Meanwhile, Alien: Romulus invades US theatres August 16, while the 8-part The Batman spin-off The Penguin will stream on Max in fall 2024.
