US - Amazon MGM Studios has announced they will be adapting several Audible podcasts for film and TV, including The Prophecy, Hot White Heise, Nut Jobs, Oracle, Daniel X: Genesis, Words + Music and Breakthrough.

Audible, acquired by Amazon in 2008, is a service that allows users to buy individual audiobooks or pay a subscription fee to access a library of selected audiobooks and podcasts.

The Prophecy, which has been acquired by ABC Signature and Amazon MGM Studios, is a hour-long supernatural thriller drama series written by Randy McKinnon and produced by Simpson Street, QCode and Station 26.

Meanwhile, Hot White Heise is a half-hour comedy series that will be produced by Broadway Video, Alan Cumming and Amazon MGM Studios, with John Riggi and Adam Goldman also attached to the project.

As for Nut Jobs, the heist drama will be made at MGM Television and will be executive produced by Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Steve Tisch, Jordan Edelstein, Marc Fennell, and Sony Music Podcasts, with Escape Artists set to produce as well.

Oracle will be an hour drama produced by Jordan Feiner, 3 Arts Entertainment and Amazon MGM Studios, while Julian Simpson will write sci-fi series Temporal as an hour-long drama by Amazon MGM Studios, Storypunk and Low Spark Television.

Daniel X: Genesis will be a one-hour drama from Amazon MGM Studios and James Patterson Entertainment, and Words + Music will be a docuseries from The Kennedy/Marshall Company. Finally, Breakthrough will be from MGM Alternative and At Will Media, and will be executive produced by The Chainsmokers.

The adaptations come as part of a deal to co-develop and co-produce projects, as Amazon brings its entertainment divisions closer together in the mediums of podcasts, film and TV.
