THEMA to Distribute DuckTV Programmes Across Asia

MEGA MAX MEDIA and THEMA signed an exclusive agreement for the latter company to oversee the distribution of ducktv content across Asia-Pacific and South Asia. By Ching Wai.

Paris - MEGA MAX MEDIA signed a distribution mandate agreement with THEMA, a Canal+ company. MEGA MAX MEDIA is the company behind the ducktv brand. With the exclusive deal, THEMA will be in charge of the distribution of ducktv content across Asia-Pacific and South Asia through channels like Linear, SVOD, APP, and FAST Channel.

The Director of affiliate sales and business development at ducktv, Iza Piotrowska, commented on the agreement, "At ducktv, our commitment to providing enriching content for young minds is unwavering. Partnering exclusively with THEMA for distribution in the Asian market is an exciting opportunity to expand our reach and impact. With THEMA's expertise, we're confident that ducktv will find its way into the hearts and homes of families across Asia, enriching the lives of young viewers with our unique edutainment experience."

Alexandre Bac, the Managing Director at THEMA Asia Pacific, explains this decision. Bac said,“Kids contents are always in demand. We believe ducktv’s positioning is different from other kids channels, which could create more opportunities across the region, both linear and on demand.”

ducktv is Europe’s first kids’ channel to provide 100% high definition, educational and entertaining programming for toddlers and preschoolers. The channel’s content uses no language, and with guidance from child psychologists, is designed to focus on the emotional and intellectual development of children. ducktv offers a variety of genres, such as figurative animations, cartoons, mini-series, and live-action content. The brand has programmes like Ducky Adventures, Mimo’s World, Duckschool, and Lola and the Numbers. These easy-to-digest programmes showcase vibrant graphics, lovable characters, and enchanting narratives.

THEMA is a Canal+ Company that distributes and produces pay TV channels, Fast TV channels, Youtube channels and non-linear content to cable, IPTV, DTH operators, mobile packages and OTT worldwide. MEGA MAX MEDIA is an independent Slovakian media company that produces and broadcasts content for young children. One of its channels, ducktv, is currently available worldwide in over 180 countries.
