Turkish TV Channel Kanal 7 Renews Popular Drama Redemption for Season 3

The popular Turkish drama series Redemption has been renewed for a third season by Kanal 7. By Ching Wai.

Europe - Turkish nationwide Islamic TV channel Kanal 7 has renewed the Turkish drama series Redemption for a third season. The broadcaster’s top rated series, produced by Karamel Yapim, had its debut in November 2022, and is currently airing and producing its second season until this summer. Season three has 280 episodes commissioned, and is set to premiere in September 2024.

Redemption follows the story of an unlikely couple, Orhun and Hira, as they manoeuvre through trauma, vengeance, and love. From being framed for murder, to a revenge plot, to a love story, Redemption will undoubtedly keep audiences at the edge of their seats. Season one has 207 episodes, while season two has 273 episodes.

International distributor, Eccho Rights, has licensed the series across Eastern European territories Romania, Bulgaria, Israel, Georgia, Bosnia Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Serbia, and Montenegro.

Director of Turkish Drama at Eccho Rights, Handan Özkubat, said, “Redemption is a classic example of a series that succeeds because of great storytelling, and even though it has a more modest budget than some, the production is high quality, the performances from the cast are compelling and each episode is unmissable!”

Eccho Rights is a distributor of drama series based in Stockholm, and is majority owned by Night Train Media. The media company annually licences over 17 000 hours of drama content to broadcasters and platforms globally.
