US - Over 4 days from April 8-11, CinemaCon 2024 attendees were treated to plenty of sneak peeks at upcoming blockbusters, including Joker: Folie à Deux, Michael, John Wick Presents: Ballerina and more.

A trailer to the highly anticipated sequel Joker: Folie à Deux starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga was released to the public on April 10, which saw the Joker partner up with Harley Quinn in a musical follow-up to 2019’s Joker that is set to release in theatres on October 4.

Additionally, during the event, attendees received an exclusive first look at Michael, the upcoming 2025 biopic about Michael Jackson starring his nephew, Jaafar Jackson. Though not released to the public, attendees shared that the trailer featured Michael Jackson’s childhood days, his time with the Jackson 5, as well as the Thriller era, with fans – at CinemaCon and in the film – screaming in excitement.

The John Wick spin-off set between the third and fourth installment of the John Wick franchise was also given a closed-door look, with the film also being renamed to John Wick Presents: Ballerina after being delayed to June 6 2025 back in February 2024. The clip showed Ana de Armas as Rooney, an ex-ballerina, asking “How do I start doing what you do?”, to which Keanu Reeves as John Wick replies: “Looks like you already have.”

Other films that got closed-door brand new sneak peeks include Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Despicable Me 4, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, as well as Wicked, which also revealed Peter Dinklage’s casting as Dr. Dillamond during a panel at the event. Trailers for all four of the aforementioned films were also released to the public in the weeks leading up to the event and are available online.
