US - The 76th Emmy Awards, held at
the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles on September 15, 2024, saw FX’s Shōgun
and The Bear dominate the night. Shōgun, an epic series set in
17th-century feudal Japan, broke records by winning 18 awards, including
Outstanding Drama Series. Hiroyuki Sanada and Anna Sawai took home the awards
for Lead Actor and Lead Actress in a Drama Series, respectively, while
Frederick E.O. Toye won for directing.

continued its winning streak by securing 11 awards, surpassing its previous
record. Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach repeated their wins for Lead
Actor and Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series, respectively. Liza Colón-Zayas
won her first Emmy for Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series.
In a surprising turn, Hacks won Outstanding
Comedy Series, upsetting The Bear. Netflix’s Baby Reindeer also
