All3Media International Secures Global Distribution Deals for Paramount+ Original Drama The Ex-Wife

In a significant move, prominent independent distributor All3Media International has successfully inked its initial set of agreements for the newly debuted Paramount+ original drama The Ex-Wife spanning regions such as North America, Europe, the Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.

Co-produced by Night Train Media, Clapperboard Studios, and BlackBox Multimedia, The Ex-Wife derives its storyline from the bestselling book by author Jess Ryder, who shares the same name. The drama features an accomplished cast including Céline Buckens from Showtrial, Tom Mison of Sleepy Hollow, Janet Montgomery known for New Amsterdam, and Jordan Stephens from Feel Good. Following its premiere on Paramount+ in the UK last year, the series is now gaining traction globally, courtesy of All3Media International's strategic partnerships.

A comprehensive multi-territory deal ensures the thriller's reach across several nations, including Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, and Slovenia. Pickbox will air the four-part series in these regions, accompanied by Paramount+ in Austria, Germany, and Switzerland, OSN in the Middle East, TVNZ in New Zealand, and Paramount+ in Australia.

Maartje Horchner, EVP Content at All3Media International, emphasized that The Ex-Wife was developed by a team of seasoned professionals dedicated to crafting standout global series. The series provides a gripping adaptation of Jess Ryder's original work, brought to life by a lauded ensemble cast. With its intricate narrative filled with twists and turns, the show promises to keep audiences on the edge of their seats.

At the heart of the story is Tasha (Buckens), who seemingly has it all – the perfect home, a loving husband (Mison), and an adorable daughter. However, her husband's persistent ex-wife, Jen (Montgomery), casts a shadow on her marital bliss. When Tasha's life takes an unexpected turn, her dream existence spirals into a gripping nightmare.

The Ex-Wife boasts a screenplay penned by Catherine Steadman, acclaimed for her role in Downton Abbey. Steadman also serves as an Executive Producer alongside Olivia Pahl and Herbert L. Kloiber of Night Train Media, Giuliano Papadia and Chiara Cardoso of BlackBox Multimedia, Mike Benson of Clapperboard, and the original novel's author, Jess Ryder. Producer Andy Morgan and director Brian O'Malley complete the team behind this captivating drama.
