Renowned Indian production luminary Ektaa R. Kapoor, co-founder of Balaji Telefilms, is set to be honoured with the distinguished 2023 International Emmy Directorate Award. The accolade will be presented at the grand 51st International Emmy Awards Gala scheduled for November 20 in the vibrant city of New York.

Balaji Telefilms, which Kapoor initiated in 1994 alongside her parents, stands as a prominent name in the Indian entertainment landscape. Kapoor's contributions have led to the creation and production of an impressive array, encompassing over 17,000 hours of television content and a substantial collection of 45 films. Her pioneering work extends to the operation of Alt Balaji, the company's own over-the-top (OTT) platform.

Bruce L. Paisner, President and CEO of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, lauded Kapoor's transformative role, citing her instrumental influence in shaping Balaji into a prominent entertainment force in India. The brand's commanding presence in the television content sector, including its extensive series and the flourishing OTT platform, underscore Kapoor's monumental achievements.
