The Swedish comedy-drama sensation, EVERYONE BUT US has successfully secured broadcasting rights in the Netherlands and Germany, marking another milestone in its international journey. The series will captivate audiences on NPO3 and NPO Plus in the Netherlands, while One Gate Media has secured the free TV rights for NDR Germany and the VOD rights for German-speaking Europe.

Produced by Warner Bros. International Sweden, EVERYONE BUT US is an emotionally charged tragi-comic narrative centred around a young couple's arduous journey to conceive a baby. Since its debut on Discovery Plus in February 2021, the series has garnered significant attention and acclaim. Notably, it received a nomination for "Best comedy show" at the Swedish TV Gala "Kristallen" in the same year. The show's stellar cast includes award-winning actress Alba August and renowned Swedish comedian Björn Gustafsson.

Lucy Roberts, the Director of Sales at Eccho Rights, commented: “EVERYONE BUT US tells a very relatable story, whether it has happened to you or someone you know. It is told with a great deal of comedy but also heart.”

Fans of the series will be thrilled to learn that EVERYONE BUT US is poised to return for a highly anticipated second season, currently in production. The narrative revolves around Ola and Hilma, a seemingly content couple with one significant void in their lives – the longing for children. Amidst a social circle filled with friends joyously announcing pregnancies and embracing family life, Ola and Hilma grapple with their inability to conceive.

The series presents a compelling and relatable narrative that explores the complexities of relationships and the relentless pursuit of dreams. Its ability to blend humour with genuine human emotion has endeared it to audiences, and its expansion into the Dutch and German markets promises to introduce its unique charm to an even broader viewership.
