Singapore’s top short-form premium video entertainment platform founded by engineer-filmmaking duo Ho Jia Jian and Derek Tan, sees reshuffling at management. With the announcement of Derek stepping down from operational activities, Viddsee will continue with co-founder and CEO Ho Jia Jian, senior vice-president of commercial Michele Schofield and vice-president of studios Kenny Tan.

Founded in January 2013, the platform has become a major brand in moulding compelling narratives for their audiences and brands. As a platform that provides enjoyable short films and interesting yet original content, Viddsee allows creators and talents to showcase their content and connect with viewers internationally.

During his time in office, Derek has significantly helped the company grow and succeed over the years. By handling the strategic partnerships and business development initiatives, he has grown Viddsee’s commercial value, user numbers and strengthened their company reputation.

Currently Viddsee has garnered 3 billion views, with a collection of above 5000 films. In spite of his position change, Tan looks to continue steering Viddsee in the right direction as a non-executive director.

Fellow co-founder Ho Jia Jian commented, “We are grateful for Derek’s invaluable contributions over the years. He has been instrumental; in fostering partnerships that elevated our platform status internationally. We appreciate his expertise and dedication, which will continue to be a resource in his role as a member of the board.”

With the change in Derek Tan’s executive role, Viddsee looks to continue empowering storytellers and distribute quality, appealing and engaging content to their international viewers.
