Beyoncé's Renaissance Strikes a High Note with $21 Million Opening

Beyoncé’s latest concert film had secured a staggering $21 million opening weekend. Despite the cinematic venture performing well domestically, the international reception is undergoing struggles as it lands $6.4 million from 94 markets.
Beyoncé had played the role of a director, producer and writer for her latest film. She surpassed expectations once again as audiences sang praise and awarded it an A + CinemaScore while critics added to the acclaim with glowing reviews.
Despite all that glamour, the film had fallen short in expectations in the international market by $20 million. However, it had notable rankings which included the No.4 spot in the U.K.. and the No. 6 position in Australia.
Distributed by mega-cinema circuit AMC, the film is thriving alongside blockbuster Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour as the film steals the limelight in face of other releases such as Napoleon and Wish.
